Fun Fall Activities

Autumn is here, with plenty of fall family fun! Don’t miss these baby-friendly activities to enjoy the season:

  1. Applesauce making: Babies over 6 months can try solids, including this autumn classic. Cook apples down without sugar (McIntosh apples work great), let cool, and serve plain or with the tiniest bit of cinnamon or vanilla.
  2. Autumn exploration: Hang leaves on the bars of your little one’s play-set or clip them to a mobile. Put crunchy leaves or squishy pumpkin guts in a sealed sandwich bag to grab without mess. Mini gourds and pumpkins, or acorns in a clear jar, are great objects to explore, too. Parent supervision required at all times.
  3. Read autumn board books. Bright colors and snuggle time with you will keep baby engaged.
  4. Take a hike: Pop baby in a baby carrier, take plenty of water for you, and pick a short hike to start.
